Vidhyarthi – Library Development Program with Pratham Books

What started as a chance try, led to the setup/up-gradation of libraries in 8 schools in Kolar Dist. Thanks to our individual and corporate donors and with the constant support of Pratham Books, we were able to touch ~336 children with ~670 new, best-quality and well-suited books. All the schools have promised to set-up a lending process where they issue a book to the kids to take home for a certain time (1 week or 15 days) and return it after that. Vidhyadaanam’s Library Development Program

Hello Friends, We are coordinating with Pratham books (Donate-a-book) for Vidhyadaanam’s Library Development Program. We aim to setup libraries in select government schools. The collected funds will be utilized for buying books for children in English, Kannada and Hindi. The children can read the books at school and also borrow one book home, per week.
