Hello Friends,

The well-planned day started at 6am on June 24th , Saturday. After a round of co-ordinations and pick-ups, the team met at the Toll at 7am to look forward for the day.

Little bit of shuffling and off to breakfast, Prakash introduced everyone and briefed the team. Material was segregated to cars based on the batch. Volunteers were divided into 5 batches and we covered 7 locations where in kids from 32 schools had assembled.

Books and stationary, awards for class toppers along with Open quiz was conducted at all schools and fun activities were conducted at Gopenehalli and Hulkur. At 2 PM, Ramasagara, vote of thanks was given by Sneha Mahesh. Had a filling lunch and proceeded to the mango farm for the usual tour.Started back to Bangalore by 5pm and everyone were able to reach their homes by 7.

Features:

• Total amount collected –  1,67,600.  We have 30,600 to be used for further planned activities for 2017-18.
• Number of Schools covered –  32 with ~1457 students.
• Awards for the winners in the Fun activities conducted.
• Books –  (includes short, long, 2-line, 4-line and Slates)  – Books -7840 and slates 40.
• Stationery – Pencil box consisting of 1 pen, pencil, eraser, ruler and sharpener to ~ 1220 children.
