Independence Day -2019

Thousands laid down their lives so that our children can live in a country free of hunger and fear, free of illiteracy and want. What better way to remember their sacrifice than to imbibe their vice and virtues in these young hearts, forever. Independence day is celebrated with lots of colour and vigour in the schools. Many activities like fancy-dress, rangoli competition, processions etc outline the celebrations. Teacher Trainings

At least two teachers, from each school, have undergone the Nali-Kali training. cluster level trainings were conducted for 06 days. The master resource persons were given 08 days of residential training at Yellapur of Karwar District, and this activity was started in January 2009.10 Teachers are engaged in group activities during the training program The training covers Nali-Kali Philosophy, methodology, and the activities to be performed in each subject for class 1 & 2, classroom preparations and use of learning materials. This is what I understood from the internet and my experience in the schools Developed in 1995 by teachers in Karnataka’s Mysore district, the Nali Kali strategy adopted creative learning practices to help retain children in school and bring in those not attending school. History of Nali-Kali

Nali-kali started in 1995, as a small UNICEF-assisted pilot project in H. D. Kote, Mysore District. Searching for ways to revitalize primary schools, a group of 15 primary school teachers and administrators went to Rishi Valley (Madanapalle, Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh) to study the satellite schools where children in multi-grade classrooms were learning to read, write and unleash their creativity in a joyful and exciting environment. Imagine what 60 such mindsets could achieve. 9th the Saturday was unlike any typical ones, as this team that aged from 18 months to 65 years, were up, ready and pumped by 5am. We started off by 7 am and this wonderful journey already taught us about the destination. Hello Friends, The well-planned day started at 6am on June 24th , Saturday. After a round of co-ordinations and pick-ups, the team met at the Toll at 7am to look forward for the day. Little bit of shuffling and off to breakfast, Prakash introduced everyone and briefed the team. Material was segregated to cars based on the batch. Some events are meant to become memories and some, experiences 26-June was one such a day for this bubbling team of 26. The enthusiastic bunch met on the dot (7:15am), had breakfast and reached Ramasagara even before they opened for the day. Mr. weather was all co-operative with not much sun and no rain.
